Case Studies Methodology

Carlton Screen Advertising works with research agencies to determine how exposure to an ad on Cinema affects recall and perceptions among a sample of cinemagoers.

Research predominantly takes the form of day-after recall interviews over the phone. At no time are respondents informed that the research is advertising related. Control samples are matched to the cinema sample in terms of demographic and any other specific requirement of a brand's target market.

Average scores from our database of research shows depth of communication is twice as high from Cinema than from TV, and prompted recall is 20% over and above TV.
